At Belsay Woodland Burials, we have a choice of function rooms ideal for everything from simple ceremonies or formal services, catered receptions or informal gatherings before or after a burial. We can help you with every element of your ceremony or reception, from planning the order of service, choosing a minister or celebrant, the music, readings, flowers and catering.
The Gin Gan
The Gin Gan is a small timber framed building on site which can be used for simple gatherings or just as a shelter or somewhere to sit and enjoy the view. You are welcome to provide food and drink for guests here but please be aware that there is no power source or toilet facilities at the burial ground itself.
The Meeting Room
The Belsay Woodland Burials Meeting Room is adjacent to our office and comfortably fits 20 or 30 people standing for small services and receptions.
The Blacksmith’s Barn
The new Blacksmith’s Barn, adjacent to The Blacksmith’s Coffee Shop and our offices, is a multi-functional space for up to 100 people. The room has lovely acoustics for holding a ceremony or a reception before or after a burial and a full catering service is available. A lectern, a wifi/bluetooth speaker system with 2 microphones and a projector are available for your use. We can provide a Zoom broadcast of the service, for those unable to attend the ceremony.
Ample parking is available outside the Blacksmith’s Barn with disabled access.
Catering can be supplied in either The Meeting Room or Blacksmith’s Barn and we also have a license to serve alcohol. Please contact the office on email@example.com or telephone 01661 881206 to discuss your requirements.
Flowers can also be provided by our onsite florist.
