Memorial stones and plaques must be purchased from, supplied and installed by Belsay Woodland Burials.

Memorial Stones

Graves can be marked by a single memorial carved out of natural locally sourced stone to a standard design. They are approximately 9″ square.

Part of the ecology of a mature woodland such stones provide important habitats for invertebrates such as beetles and ants.

Stones will be laid flush to the ground.

Grey Slate Memorial Stone

£135 + vat (letters cost £3.50 + vat each in addition to the basic price)

Green Slate Memorial Stone

£145 + vat  (letters cost £3.50 + vat each in addition to the basic price)

Sandstone Memorial Stone

£110 + vat (letters cost £3.50 + vat is in addition to the basic price)

 

Memorial Plaques

Memorial plaques are made of recycled slate and are hand carved locally.  They are approximately 8″ x 6″ and will be hung horizontally in the memorial tree or shrub.

Memorial plaques cost £120 each + vat including hand engraving of name and dates.  Any additional text will be charged on an individual basis.
